The Pediatric Clinical Trials Office (PCTO) facilitates clinical research in the Department. The office was established and is directed by Susan Cohn, MD, and provides support for institutional, multi-institutional and pharma studies.
Its role includes all administrative aspects of clinical research: recruiting patients, writing consent forms, obtaining patient consent, submitting research to the IRB, and collecting and entering data in databases that are complaint with privacy laws. It is particularly expert in the unique regulatory nuances of pediatric clinical research. Services can be tailored to the needs of the individual investigator.
