Our Mission
In alignment with the University of Chicago Medicine and Department of Pediatrics’ missions, the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program strives to train clinicians to provide superior clinical care in a compassionate manner, while being mindful of each patient’s dignity and individuality. The program will train fellows to use evidence-based practice to care for hospitalized children in a family-centered environment. We will foster a devotion to continuous inquiry and a commitment to education through diverse clinical and non-clinical opportunities. Fellows will engage with medical professionals across the spectrum of pediatric medicine to refine clinical expertise, enhance leadership skills, master interdisciplinary communication, and promote scholarship. Through these methods we will train exemplary physicians who will serve as leaders in the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and advocates for their patients.
